Becoming an Approved MRTQ Trainer

If you have spent years developing expertise in early childhood or out-of-school time care — and you have experience helping others learn and grow — becoming an MRTQ PDN Approved Trainer is an opportunity to formalize that contribution and extend your impact across the field.MRTQ PDN Approved Trainers are professionals who bring deep field experience into the classroom and online learning environment. They play an essential role in Maine's early childhood professional development system and in the delivery of the Core Knowledge Training Program.

The Role of an Approved Trainer

MRTQ PDN Approved Trainers act as representatives of Maine Roads to Quality. Approved Trainers create positive learning environments for adult learners, deliver content using evidence-based adult learning methods, facilitate the exchange of ideas in the classroom and online, and provide support to providers working through their coursework as needed.

Maine Roads to Quality is committed to cultivating a strong and experienced trainer network. We welcome applications from professionals with demonstrated field experience and content expertise who are prepared to facilitate our catalog of online trainings.Applications are reviewed twice per year — in the fall and in the spring.
